A footbridge over Longfellow Creek |
On August 2nd, I drove down to Tacoma and visited Point Defiance Park to do 4 miles on the Outside Loop Trail. I also stopped into Fort Nisqually. In all the years I have lived here and visited Point Defiance Park (and the Zoo) I have never gone to Fort Nisqually, so this was a first and I really liked it. I highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.
The Outer Trail is fun because you get great views |
Otherwise you are just in areas like this |
Raccoons were everywhere. |
Blue trail markers are for the Outer Loop Trail |
Lovely madrona trees |
You can see the Narrows Bridge in the distance |
Back to the interior of the park |
