Hikeathon 2023: Airplanes and more Airplanes and a Dragonfly!

One of my favorite urban hikes for hike-a-thon has to be the Cedar River Trail through Renton, WA. I love looking at all the airplanes being made at the Boeing facility there. I hiked 2 miles along this trail on Thursday. 

On Friday, I was on the Des Moines Creek Trail for 2 miles and I saw so many airplanes!! It is right under the flight path for planes taking off from SeaTac Airport and it was super busy. If you want silence in the woods, this hike is not for you, however, if you want blackberries, this is a perfect hike, bring a bucket!!

On Saturday, I did one mile on the Longfellow Creek Trail in West Seattle. 

 

The Dragonfly pavilion

I  have hiked 20 miles so far this month and we have raised over $900 so far!! Thanks to all my co-workers who gave up a Starbucks to give me $5 this week!
